5 Perfect Shows for Preschool Kids Streaming on Netflix

by Makinya Ward on November 4, 2017
Find me on:

Don't want to sit through another hour of Noddy? We hear you! Do you find it difficult to find something suitable for the whole family? Me too! For these reasons alone, we put together a shortlist of our favorite shows currently streaming on Netflix.

Naturally, we've tried to keep it educational and made sure that these popular shows have multiple seasons available (at time of publication). However, as awesome as they maybe, it's a good idea to establish some screen-time rules to keep binge-watching to a minimum and make time for play.

1. Ask the Story Bots

This show is great for kids from ages 2+ as they begin to develop an inquisitive mind. Follow Beep, Bing, Bang, Boop and Bo as they help answer kids' biggest questions.

2. Cirque du Soleil: Luna Petunia

Based on the famous circus which started North of the border, this show is sweet, has great messages for two year olds, and lots and lots of pink.

Top tip: TV can be great in keeping your kids entertained but it should not play a large part in day-to-day life, see why in our blog on getting your child to sleep.

3. Clifford the Big Red Dog

Clifford hit our screens in 2005 and since then it's been a big part of our young lives around the world.

4. Splash and Bubbles

These fishy friends introduce your preschooler to the science of the ocean in a colorful and energetic way that almost makes you feel like you're there!

5. Inspector Gadget

Yes, he's still around but now he's animated in a pixar-esque style! This fun remake has a multi-generation appeal from pre-k upwards although many preschoolers would find this equally enjoyable. Inspector Gadget encourages kids to think throughout the show so they can solve the crime so make sure they're watching by asking them questions!

[Bonus] Goldie and Bear

This lovely show follows Goldie and Bear on their adventures telling the story of traditional fairytales. Take a look at this snippet of 'Pinocchio-itis'.

Have any more suggestions, please let us know! Don't forget, Netflix frequently updates its library, so be sure to check the kids section every month or so.

At all Kids Konnect Preschools in the Bay Area we have very little screen time as we're always busy having fun with our play-based curriculum. If you're looking for a preschool, why not book a free stay-n'play to see what enrolling your child at Kids Konnect is all about.
