Summer is the perfect time of year to spend time with your family. As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, there's lots of events to keep every member of the family busy. Party at festivals or dive in to your fave pool, it's our favorite season to spend time outside - and indoors too when it decides to rain!
The team at Kids Konnect Preschools has put together this list of the free events taking place over the next few months.
Ride to the Marina Community Center for a wheely good time! In celebration of Bike Safety Month, all the family are welcome for a cycle to the local parks. Get those little legs moving and spend time together as a family! It's so good to be outside in nature! We spend a lot of time outdoors at Kids Konnect!

Head down to your local library for a morning of stories, songs and activities for all the family. Held every third Saturday of the month, there’s always a date you can make! At Kids Konnect, we have a deep passion for reading and believe it is a fundamental part of a child's development. We believe that nurturing a love for reading from an early age sets the foundation for lifelong learning and curiosity.

Celebrate San Leandro’s past, present and future at the Cherry Festival. First held in 1909, the celebration continues to honour the city’s strong sense of community. Watch the parade, dance to live music and maybe bring your baked cherry pie for the cherry pie baking contest!

Make a splash this summer! Pack a picnic and enjoy a dip in Farrelly Pool. It's a great afternoon for all the family, with a shallow end for carefree swimming and the deep end for those wanting a challenge. Choose a Saturday afternoon in July to cool down!

THE perfect event for your vehicle-obsessed little one! This summer they'll be able to see fire trucks, police cars and utility trucks up close in Stenzel Park. They'll actually be able to sit inside pushing buttons and honking horns! Make sure to tell us all about it next time your little one is at Kids Konnect! We love hearing what families get up to at the weekends.
