Bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescent Development
My name is Fieon Yu and I graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor's degree in Child and Adolescent Development, majoring in Early Childhood Education and minoring in Special Education. I am well rounded with my experience as I have been a volunteer/aide and a teacher before moving on to becoming a lead teacher, managing my own classroom, and then an assistant director for a small mixed-aged preschool center. I am happy to now be a part of Kids Konnect as the site supervisor!
As an early childhood educator and a leader, I believe children learn through play and they should always be able to safely explore their surroundings. I help guide children, when needed, but I also like for them to have the confidence to problem solve. I enjoy being able to be a dependable figure in their life that makes school a fun place to be and also to help them create a positive self concept. Hands-on activities that truly engage the children and immerse them in their learning are my favorite!
In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym to progress my weight training and trying new yummy restaurants. I am huge on fitness and eating good food!
AA in Early Childhood Development (in progress)
Hello! My name is Vanessa. During my first semester in college, I decided to take an Early Childhood Development class as an elective towards my Biology major. Soon after being exposed to the incredible learning journey children have from birth, I was intrigued to learn more. The teacher suggested I apply to work with kids but I was nervous because I had only worked as a babysitter prior to that. After experiencing how fun and exciting working with children can be, I decided to change my major to study Early Childhood Development.
I am currently a student at Chabot College in Hayward working to obtain my AA in Early Childhood Development. I also plan to continue my professional development
As a teacher, my goal is to create an environment where children learn and grow to reach their fullest potential. Each moment is an incredible opportunity for a child's learning. Early childhood education is the base and foundation for these children in their school pathway. It is my goal to provide a strong foundation and help children learn how wonderful the world can be so they are ready to tackle any obstacle in their way. I strive to continue my professional skills to give the best to the children in my class.
My name is Stephanie Rubio and I speak English and Spanish. I have an Associate in Science Degree in Early Childhood Education which I got it from Canada College in May 2016. Also, I have my teacher permit credential and my CPR and First Aid certificates. I chose this career path after I worked as a babysitter for 3 years and also because I love spending time with children, especially now that I'm a mom I think I can learn a lot from them. As a teacher I hope to be able to contribute new and positive things for the children that they can use in the future. My goal is to continue preparing myself more at an educational level so that I can be better every day in my work and in my daily life.
In my spare time, I like to go to the movies, cook and play with my daughter, and enjoy every moment of my life.

BA Liberal Studies and Education (in progress)
Hello, my name is Christian Solorio. I am a Liberal Studies Major (Teacher Prep Emphasis) and Education Minor at San Francisco State University and expect to complete my bachelor’s degree in May 2020.
Something that motivates me when working with kids is the amount of impact you can have on them and seeing their faces light up with excitement when they learn something new. I have volunteered at King Center after school program as well as volunteered for Reading Partners. At Reading Partners, I helped students who struggle with reading and help them catch up with the rest of their friends! I have also coached cheerleaders at Rebels Elite from 4-18 years old.
One of my biggest passions outside of teaching would be Cheerleading. I started cheering from when I was 16 years old at San Mateo High School and then realized how much I loved it! I went on to do competitive cheerleading and have been doing it for 8 years!

Hello Kids Konnect families! My name is Jasmine Eubanks and I have always been passionate about helping others. After finishing high school, I went straight into a 4-year university. I completed my BA in psychology with a minor in sociology because I enjoyed learning about people and how we react whether social or mentally to the world around us. Toward the end of my career at the University of California Merced I took a few classes about growth pertaining to all different kinds of children. After finishing school, I went directly into assisting as a Preschool/ Daycare Instructor. I enjoyed my time which later led me into working as an Instructor, with Special Need students. I was able to teach things like social skills and everyday living skills which come so natural to most.
As a teenager I was a leader and always held good grades. Because of these grades I was given the opportunity to travel to Ghana, Africa and give back to their communities. There I learned the importance or working with a team and how important it is to share what you know. Working with young people not only allows be to share what I know but also continue to learn.
Outside or work I take what I learn working in Education and apply it to my everyday life. I have not started my own journey of mother hood just yet but I have been blessed to have such a big family with a lot of cousin who I spend a lot of time with. I’ve been known to be the big cousin who take my family out to have all the fun but also the cousin to show them right from wrong. I enjoy interactive activities, things that keep you physical but also moments to just relax.
I am grateful to become a member of the Kids Konnect team and hope that my journey continues to move forward as I help the students and as they teach me.
BSc Sociology with a minor in Adolescence and Community Education
Hey! My name is Maddy Beach and I work summer and winter breaks at Kids Konnect. I have always had a passion to work with kids, growing up my grandmother had a daycare and I loved helping out with the little ones. All through high school I babysat and was a part time nanny for multiple families. I am the middle of five kids and love being around family. Child development is something I am very passionate about, the first couple years of a child's life is where they develop the most, they learn life skills like how to play with others, follow directions and socialize with peers.
I studied sociology and minored in adolescence and community education at University of Arizona. I like working with children because they are our next generation and are so much fun. Being able to work with young kids is really a dream come true. My goal as a preschool teacher is to give each child a fun, safe and loving environment where they can learn and grow.
