AA degree in Early Child Development (in progress)
My name is Patrice Adkins, I've been working with children since January 2000. I love creating environments for children that are safe, fun, and educational. Science is my favorite subject to teach. I really enjoy seeing the excitement on children’s faces when we do experiments. I also enjoy indoor and outdoor gross motor activities. I am currently a student at Chabot College, working towards my AA degree in Early Child Development
I spend most of my free time with my three beautiful children. I have two sons ages 17 & 13, and a daughter who is 10. They keep me busy all year long with football, basketball, and soccer. When I’m not cheering at a game, I’m helping them with their homework, doing my own homework, or spending time with my nephew. I also enjoy dancing, cooking and doing yoga.
AA in Child Development
My name is April Carpenter, I have an AA in Child Development and a BSc in Criminal Justice. I've been in the preschool profession since 1997. Working in this field was not my original choice; I wanted to be a probation officer but I chose to see where child development would take me and I have been doing it ever since!
I have worked with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years for almost 21 years, and everyday has been very eventful. I love to know that I helped shape young minds and was a part of their growth for all these years. I love their creative minds and their thirst for learning. I cannot see myself doing anything else!
I love spending time with my three children and watching movies, reading, shopping, concerts, plays and sports, especially football & basketball...Go 49ers, Dolphins & Warriors!
Thank you for welcoming me into your children’s lives and yours.
